The installation of the Brazilian Cherry floors has been completed in the entry, living room, dining room, and
kitchen.
Upstairs, it has been installed in the office, studio, and library.
The box newels for the stairway have now been framed.

The French doorway from the dining room has been installed, and the frame has been built in the screened-in
porch for the additional screen door.

The painters have been busy applying texture to the (drywall) walls and ceilings in preparation for the first
coat of paint.

Special cabinets and drawers have been installed under the stair case.
The small drawer in the top center is very deep, and will be used to store a copy of the blueprints for the
house.

The drop down stair way for access into the attic has been installed.

The interior painters have been busy sanding the pine walls for a coat of polyurethane.

Once preparation is complete, the walls get a nice light coat to seal them and give them a slight shine, but
without changing the color of the wood.

The front door has arrived and been installed.
It is mostly covered to protect it from the painting activities, but I got this picture of an exposed area.
The mahogany door has been stained to match the Brazilian Cherry flooring.

The tile is being laid in the master bath, laundry room, and power room.
These large, dark brown and black tiles have a nice warmth to them that compliments all the wood trim.

Upstairs, the guest bath gets a similar tile in a different color.
A nautical theme is planned to decorate this bath.

There are a lot of things going on at once!
The granite counter tops are being installed in the kitchen.
Here we see it on both levels of the center island, as well as on the back splash.

Cultured marble is being installed in the master bath, guest bath, and in the laundry room.
Here we see that the walk-in shower in the master bath is almost complete.

Excitement is also building on the outside, since the cultured stone has arrived.
This brown ledge stone is to be used on four front wall panels, and to skirt the porch posts.
The same material will also be used inside to surround the gas fire place.
