To highlight the front door, it has been fully trimmed in cedar.
The cedar trim seems to fit quite nicely with the mahogany door with a cherry stain.

The porch columns have finally gotten their capstones.
Originally, these were coming from Acme Brick, but they decided that they did not like the price they
originally quoted and tripled it.

Carpet is installed into the master bedroom, signifying that the construction is rapidly nearing completion

The same carpet color is also being used in the upstairs bedrooms.
In this picture, you can see what a nice contrast we get between the carpet color and the red of the Brazilian
cherry floors.
Note:
We are tentatively scheduled for closing on this Friday, 13 July 2001.
(No superstitions allowed!)
If the dog stays home and the creek don't rise, we will finally be taking possession of our house and moving

We have taken possession of the house and it is now our official residence.
With the conversion of the construction financing into a regular mortgage, the construction process is
officially complete.
There is, of course, a "punch list" of items for the builder to complete or repair.
